Norma Estrada -Keith - Assistant Principal

Norma Estrada-Keith

I am privileged to be able to work this year at East Montana Middle School as an assistant principal. I have been on disability due to medical reasons since last October. It feels great to be back at work. This community has always had a special place in my heart since I used to work at Montana Vista Elementary from 2003 to 2006 as their math leader. It was my first assignment in the Clint District.

I have been an educator for more than 24 years. I spent 12 of those years enjoying teaching in the classroom; five of those years were spent with middle school aged students. My career has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities. I served as a Curriculum Coach at Montana Vista Elementary. I was also the District Math and Science Coordinator for the elementary schools for seven years and four years ago I became an assistant principal. I have loved every position I have had in the education field. I feel blessed to work with wonderful educators, school staff and students.

I have two bachelor degrees from John Brown University, in Siloam Spring, Arkansas. My undergraduate degrees (business administration and education) have opened many different doors in my life around the world. I moved to El Paso thinking that my stay was going to be short but it turned out that I loved this town so much that my husband and I decided to raise our son in this wonderful community; a community that values family , and has a multicultural prospective. I also hold a Master degree in instruction from the University of Texas in El Paso. But, my greatest accomplishment has been to work side by side with so many wonderful teachers and see our students achieve academically, socially, and spiritually.

Thank you for the wonderful welcome that many of you have given me at East Montana Middle School.
